Carol Feuerman sculpts Mexican actress, Yadira Pascault Orozco, to create incredible hyperrealist sculpture entitled, “The Midpoint”

Among the new sculptures being presented at Carol Feuerman’s solo exhibit at the Giardino Della Marinaressa (2017 Venice Biennale) is “The Midpoint” a stunning portrayal of Mexican actress, Yadira Pascault Orozco (Sonicamente, Aquí Entre Nos,  No Eres Tú, Soy Yo ) who posed for Carole Feuerman in August of 2016 at Feuerman’s Manhattan studio. The two had met at Carole’s “Preception” exhibit at KM Fine Arts in Los Angeles the month before.

Carole A. Feuerman is recognized as a pioneering figure in the world of hyperrealist sculpture. Together with Hanson and De Andrea, she was one of the three leaders that started the movement in the late seventies by making life like sculptures that portrayed their models precisely.  Dubbed ‘the reigning doyenne of super-realism’ by art historian John T. Spike, Feuerman has solidified her place in art history.
